GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR CAMPING SERVICES

 

These terms apply between the guest (“Camping Guest”) and Camping Resort Rülzheim GmbH (hereafter “Camping Operator”). By registering, the guest explicitly accepts these terms. Any deviations or additional agreements require written confirmation by the Camping Operator.

 

1. CONCLUSION OF CAMPING CONTRACT / BOOKING

By submitting a written booking request, the guest offers to enter into a binding camping contract for the specified period and number of persons. The contract is only concluded upon receipt of written booking confirmation from the Camping Operator. There is no entitlement to a specific pitch. Verbal information, side agreements, or other assurances are only binding if confirmed in writing by the Camping Operator.

 

 

2. BOOKING / PRICES

Prices are based on the current price list of the Camping Operator. It is the guest’s responsibility to check applicable rates before registering.

A desired pitch can be reserved (subject to availability) with a €20 guarantee fee.

After receiving confirmation, please check immediately for accuracy. The provider can change the booking equivalently if necessary. Bookings by unaccompanied minors under 18 are not accepted and will be canceled—unless accompanied by a legal guardian.

Early arrival before 14:30 is possible with prior arrangement (and availability) for a €10 fee.

Late departure after 12:00 is possible with prior arrangement (and availability) for a €10 fee. Departure after 15:00 incurs a full additional night charge.

Arrival between 20:00 and 22:00 is possible only by arrangement and incurs a €10 fee.

Tent pitches are limited to tents up to 25 m².

Booking is only confirmed once the deposit is received.

 

 

3. CONTRACT CHANGES

Modifications (dates, name, pitch change) incur a €15 rebooking fee. Only bookings with a deposit can be rebooked within the same calendar year.

 

 

4. GENERAL USAGE OBLIGATIONS

Each pitch may be booked by one family (maximum 6 people). Additional visitor tents are not allowed. Rental units are limited to 4 persons. Camping next to rental units is prohibited.

Only vehicles with valid gas certifications according to G 607 are allowed, except gas-free vehicles intended for camping.

 

 

5. DEPOSIT / PAYMENT

Once payment is requested, a deposit of 33.3% of the total is due within six days.

The remaining balance is payable upon arrival.

When transferring funds, the booking reference and name must be included. Grouped payments for multiple bookings are not accepted and will be refunded and canceled. Unidentifiable payments will be refunded and cancellations processed.

Pitches freed by early departure may be reassigned without refund unless damage is proven to be less.

No refunds for early departures.

 

 

6. CANCELLATION BY THE GUEST

The guest may cancel in writing after the deposit is paid.

Cancellation fees per pitch or rental unit are:

  • Up to 45 days before arrival: €35

  • From 44 days before: 20% of total price (minimum €35)

  • From 21 days before: 100% of total price

    No refunds for early departures.

 

 

 

7. NO-SHOW / LATE ARRIVAL

If arrival is after 18:00, notification is required at info@camping-ruelzheim.de or phone. Otherwise, space is released by 14:00 next day; no refunds for payments already made.

Unoccupied rental units may be reassigned without refund unless lower damage is proven.

 

 

8. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Check-in from 14:30; check-out by 12:00.

Early check-in or late check-out incurs a €10 fee (possibly plus full night charge after 15:00).

Please don’t arrive early to avoid congestion at the campsite entrance.

 

 

9. SITE RULES

Guests must adhere to site rules available at reception, especially regarding quiet hours.

The operator may terminate the contract without notice if a guest endangers others or behaves grossly improperly; refunds are not given, and full price is due. Refunds may be withheld unless lesser damages are proven.

 

 

10. VISITORS

Guests must register visitors at reception. Visitor vehicles must be parked outside the campsite. Fees are according to the current price list.

 

 

11. DEFECTS / COMPLAINTS

Any complaints about the pitch or rental unit must be reported immediately during the stay to give the operator the opportunity to remedy the issue.

 

 

12. OPENING HOURS

Reception, shops, sanitary facilities, restaurants, and animation programs have reduced hours during off-peak season. Not all areas may open.

 

 

13. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE / DATA PROTECTION

Video surveillance is used in critical areas for safety and property protection. Footage is only reviewed if needed, stored until resolution, and not shared with third parties. Data is automatically deleted per § 6b BDSG. Cameras are secured pursuant to § 9 BDSG.

The campsite may also conduct photo and video recordings for marketing; guests can opt out by notifying the team on site. Data is used for booking and marketing purposes within legal bounds and not shared externally. Guests may request data access or blocking.

 

 

14. DOGS / PETS

Pets are not permitted on playgrounds, in sanitary buildings, or during animation programs. If a dog causes complaints or behaves disruptively, it may be removed. Leashes must be used across the site and rental units.

 

 

15. LIABILITY

The operator is liable only for intent or gross negligence of its legal representatives or agents, and for injury to life, body, or health. General liability for all damages (contractual or tort) applies only in these cases. Liability for falling objects (e.g., branches) is covered by insurance. Force majeure damages are excluded.

 

 

16. ERRORS

The operator reserves the right to correct errors or typos at any time.

 

 

17. SET-OFF

Guests may only offset with claims that are undisputed or legally established.

 

 

18. JURISDICTION

Guests may only sue the operator at its registered office. The campsite may choose the guest’s residence as venue unless the guest is a merchant, has no domestic jurisdiction, has moved abroad post-contract, or their residence is unknown—in these cases, the operator’s location is the venue.

19. COVID-19 INFORMATION

If arrival becomes impossible due to COVID-19 infection, the standard cancellation conditions (§ 7) apply. Travel cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

For everyone’s safety, guests must follow hygiene rules.
